Case Studies

Projects delivered across six sectors

Six project accounts from recent engagements. Each describes the challenge, the approach and the measurable outcomes.

Government

Network infrastructure for a federal ministry

Designed, supplied and installed the structured cabling, active equipment and data centre for a ministry with 1,400 workstations across three buildings in Baghdad.

Workstations connected

1,400

Buildings covered

Delivery timeline

14 weeks

The challenge

The existing network had no documentation, mixed cabling standards from three different installation periods and insufficient capacity for the ministry's planned digital services programme.

Our approach

Conducted a full site survey before any procurement. Produced a complete as-built documentation set for the existing infrastructure before designing the replacement. Phased the installation to keep operations running throughout.

Outcomes

  • 1,400 workstation connections on a single structured cabling standard
  • New data centre with 24-hour UPS and diesel backup
  • Full as-built documentation delivered at project close
  • Network management system with real-time monitoring

Banking

Cybersecurity programme for a private bank

Delivered a full cybersecurity assessment, remediation programme and SOC setup for a private bank with branches in Baghdad, Basra and Erbil.

SOC go-live

16 weeks

The challenge

The bank had no documented security policies, no monitoring capability and had experienced two incidents in the preceding 18 months. CBI examination had flagged the security posture as requiring remediation.

Our approach

Started with a penetration test and vulnerability assessment to establish a baseline. Produced a remediation roadmap prioritised by risk. Implemented the remediation in parallel with designing the SOC. Trained the bank's internal security team to operate it.

Outcomes

  • Full penetration test and vulnerability assessment report
  • Remediation of 47 critical and high-severity findings
  • SOC operational with 24/7 monitoring capability
  • ISO 27001 readiness assessment completed

Banking

DigiBankFlex deployment for a state-affiliated bank

Implemented DigiBankFlex as the core banking system for a state-affiliated bank, replacing a 15-year-old legacy system while keeping 280,000 active accounts in operation.

Accounts migrated

280,000

Staff trained

120

Processing time

0.8s avg

The challenge

The legacy system had no API layer, no documentation and used a proprietary database format. Data migration required custom extraction tools. The bank could not accept downtime during the transition.

Our approach

Built a parallel-run environment and ran both systems simultaneously for 60 days. Developed a custom data extraction and transformation pipeline for the migration. Trained 120 staff before cutover.

Outcomes

  • 280,000 accounts migrated with zero data loss
  • Core banking, mobile banking and teller systems live
  • Transaction processing time reduced from 4.2s to 0.8s
  • Full CBI reporting compliance from day one

Oil and Energy

IoT monitoring network for an oilfield services company

Deployed an IoT sensor network across 18 field sites to provide real-time equipment monitoring, predictive maintenance alerts and fuel consumption tracking.

Field sites connected

18

Unplanned downtime reduction

34%

Sensors deployed

240+

The challenge

Field sites had no reliable connectivity. Equipment failures were only discovered after they caused downtime. Fuel consumption was tracked manually with no cross-site visibility.

Our approach

Installed cellular and satellite hybrid connectivity at each site. Deployed industrial IoT sensors on critical equipment. Built a centralised dashboard aggregating data from all 18 sites with configurable alert thresholds.

Outcomes

  • Real-time monitoring across 18 field sites
  • Equipment failure prediction reduced unplanned downtime by 34%
  • Fuel consumption visibility across the full fleet
  • Maintenance scheduling based on actual equipment hours

Logistics

Fleet management system for a logistics operator

Implemented MoveFlex for a logistics company operating 340 vehicles across Iraq, providing real-time tracking, dispatch management and driver performance reporting.

Vehicles tracked

340

Confirmation time

12 min avg

Deployment period

8 weeks

The challenge

Fleet operators had no visibility into vehicle locations once they left the depot. Route deviations, delays and fuel theft were identified only after the fact. Customer queries about delivery status required manual investigation.

Our approach

Installed GPS tracking hardware across the fleet. Configured MoveFlex for the company's specific route network and delivery types. Integrated with the customer's existing invoicing system. Trained dispatchers and fleet managers.

Outcomes

  • 340 vehicles tracked in real time
  • Average delivery confirmation time reduced from 4 hours to 12 minutes
  • Fuel consumption anomaly detection active from week one
  • Customer self-service delivery tracking portal live

Telecom

FTTH deployment for a regional ISP

Designed and deployed a fibre-to-the-home network covering 12,000 homes in a Baghdad residential district for a regional internet service provider.

Homes passed

12,000

Delivery timeline

22 weeks

Civil cost reduction

38%

The challenge

The ISP needed to compete with incumbent operators but had limited civil infrastructure budget. The deployment needed to cover a dense urban area with narrow streets and complex building access.

Our approach

Used aerial fibre deployment where possible to reduce civil works cost. Designed a distribution point architecture that minimised the number of splitters required. Managed the deployment in phases to allow the ISP to generate revenue before the full network was complete.

Outcomes

  • 12,000 homes passed in 22 weeks
  • Aerial deployment reduced civil costs by 38% versus underground estimate
  • First 2,000 subscribers connected before full network completion
  • Full NOC integration with the ISP's existing network management system
